Where is Yiwu?

Yiwu is a city of about 2,000,000 people in central Zhejiang Province near the central eastern coast of the People's Republic of China. The city is famous for its small commodity trade and vibrant free markets and is a regional tourist destination. Although administratively Yiwu is a county-level city, its fame nationally surpasses that of Jinhua, the prefecture-level city of which it is technically under jurisdiction. Yiwu city is located in the central area of Zhejiang province, only 300 kilometers from Shanghai, the largest city of China, and 120 kilometers from Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province. It has superior geographical position, located at the middle position along the coast of the West Pacific Ocean, connected with Guangdong and Fujian in the south, and Shanghai Economic Zone in the north, in the face of the gold passage to the Pacific Ocean, east to the "Eastern Big Port – Ningbo Harbour". Yiwu has more than 10,000 factories around the city covering 15 square kilometers of land. They manufacture various kinds of commodities. Yiwu market is known as a daily commodity market worldwide. It is like a 350 days trade show. You can buy almost everything in Yiwu Market. The nearest city to Yiwu is Dongyang. The area, as in most of the Province of Zhejiang, is in a mountainous region. There are two other cities:  Pujiang city and Yongkang city near Yiwu city. Pujiang is famous for crystal gifts and crafts. Pujiang Crystal Lights City is the only one crystal glass industry market in china, located in the pujiang town that famed as the folk culture hometown in china. Yongkang is famous for hardware industry. Yongkang is recognized as the Hardware center and Industrial Capital of China.The hardware industry is the focus of Yongkang's industrial economy.At present there are more than 10 000 hardware companies located in the city employing more than 20 0000 staff between them.
